School Psychology

Ronda has worked as a school psychologist since 1987. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.  Throughout her career she has provided psychological services for students from preschool through high school. She is currently employed in the Bloomfield Hills Schools serving both elementary school and high school students. As a school psychologist she integrates her expertise in psychology and education to help design learning programs that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of disabled students. She is involved in consultation, evaluation, intervention, prevention, research and planning. An important member of the school team, she works with students, educators, parents, and community members to create safe, healthy and supportive educational environments where all students can learn and grow.

Ronda’s strong interest in prevention and affective education has contributed to the development of distinctive programs for her student populations. She has co-authored and co-led psycho-educational support groups including a dating violence support group for high school girls (the subject of her doctoral dissertation) and anger management groups. She co-authored and helped research/pilot a published, nationally utilized school threat assessment instrument, The Guidelines for Assessing Threatening and Dangerous Behaviors in Schools. Ronda is in process of seeking training so that she can offer a comprehensive yoga program to her elementary school students.

Ronda, a valued presenter, has offered workshops on various school psychology related topics locally and at state and national conferences.
