School Psychology
Ronda has worked as a school psychologist since 1987. She is a
Nationally
Certified School Psychologist. Throughout her career she
has provided psychological services for students from preschool
through high school. She is currently employed in the Bloomfield
Hills Schools serving both elementary school and high school
students. As a school psychologist she integrates her expertise in
psychology and education to help design learning programs that meet
the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of disabled
students. She is involved in consultation,
evaluation, intervention, prevention, research and planning. An
important member of the school team, she works with students,
educators, parents, and community members to create safe, healthy
and supportive educational environments where all students can learn
and grow. |
| Ronda’s strong interest in prevention and affective
education has contributed to the development of distinctive programs
for her student populations. She has co-authored and co-led
psycho-educational support groups including a dating violence
support group for high school girls (the subject of her doctoral
dissertation) and anger management groups. She co-authored and
helped research/pilot a published, nationally utilized school threat
assessment instrument,
The
Guidelines for Assessing Threatening and Dangerous Behaviors in
Schools. Ronda is in process of seeking training so that she can
offer a comprehensive yoga program to her elementary school
students. Ronda, a valued presenter, has offered workshops on
various school psychology related topics locally and at state and
national conferences.
